Honeywell: refrigerant and high temperature heat pump refrigerant research and development

On December 7, 2007, the International Forum on ODS Phase-Out and Alternative Technology Development for HCFCs, sponsored by the China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association, was grandly held at the Nikko Hotel New Century Beijing. From the State Environmental Protection Administration, China Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association, the Chinese Institute of Refrigeration and Trane, Carrier, McQuay, Johnson Controls, Dalian Bingshan, Yantai Binglun, Qingdao Haier HVAC and other business representatives attended more than 200 enterprises Second forum. Mr. Zhang Ke from Honeywell Special Materials Department made a keynote speech on this forum entitled "Development and Application of Efficient Refrigerants and High Temperature Heat Pump Working Mediums".

Zhang Section in his speech divided into three parts:

First, R410A home air conditioning features and costs

Outlook: R410A system will have a rapid growth period

(A) the introduction of environmental laws and regulations: Montreal September 16, 2007 meeting on China's HCFC phase-out given a specific timetable.

(B) of the energy efficiency regulations: the new air-conditioning energy standards, the existing standards will be upgraded two grades, making R410A system and the R22 system costs are very close.

(C) the system is compact, lower voice, prompting users of R410A air-conditioning of all ages.

(D) Many companies have been developing R410A small chiller units, expanding the R410A applications.

Second, low GWP refrigerant for automotive air conditioning Fluid H

Through the physical characteristics of the refrigerant H for automotive air conditioning, compatibility testing and test results on the prototype, the conclusion is:

1, a non-flammable, very low GWP refrigerant was identified, the performance evaluation results are very exciting

2, air conditioning system and real car test: (1) initial test results show that Fluid H system and the R134a system is very close. (2) A slight decrease in cooling capacity can be solved by: a Changing or adjusting the expansion valve b Changing the temperature / pressure control point or adjusting the compressor suction valve parameters. (3) heat exchanger to improve or optimize (especially the evaporator refrigerant flow path)

3, the initial material compatibility test did not find any problems, further testing is still necessary

4, this refrigerant is a potential cost and performance superior R134a alternative
