Karma is a car brand established by Wanxiang Group after acquiring Fisker Automotive. Fisker Motors was founded in 2007 and was established with the goal of creating environmentally friendly high-end models to compete with Maserati and Aston Martin. However, Fisker announced a collapse in 2013 due to a funding break. In 2014, Wanxiang acquired Fisker, an American electric vehicle manufacturer, for a consideration of US$149.2 million and changed its name to Karma on September 30, 2015.

The launch of Revero means that Fisker, which was named after Tesla in the past, has returned to the auto market with the help of Chinese capital after delays in delivery, recall, bankruptcy, auctions, etc., becoming the participation of global new energy vehicles. And competitors.

After nearly two years of research and development, the hybrid vehicle Revero became Karma's first commercial vehicle. Revero's appearance also helped its parent company Wanxiang transform from a Chinese auto parts supplier to a complete vehicle and parts manufacturing company.

Revero has continued the appearance of most of the designs of the Fisker era, with the addition of the Revero logo. The Revero powertrain will continue to adopt the motor + universal 2.0T four-cylinder engine in the early stage and the new BMW powertrain in the later stage. In the pure electric mode, the new car lasts up to 80 kilometers, plus the additional mileage provided by the gasoline generator, and the total mileage can reach 480 kilometers. In the sport mode, 100 km is accelerated to 5.4 seconds.

Revero uses large-screen mid-control and full-LCD instruments in the car. It will support Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. The car infotainment system and firmware can be upgraded through OTA. The system supports 4G network and navigation supports real-time traffic conditions.

Fisker, once sought after by many stars

According to the plan of Wanxiang, a new platform will be launched in 2018. The platform will first start production in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, China, and will introduce pure-electric version and extended-range version of Revero, as well as pure electric version and extended-range version of Atalantic.

In 2019, Karma will also launch a Sation Wagon wagon, a medium and large SUV, a small SUV and a convertible, and then start construction in Mexico.

According to Karma CEO Tom Corcoran, the Karma team will be around 400 and will reach 700 by the end of this year.

Currently, Karma Automotive has signed 10 car dealerships in the United States and Canada. These dealers have experience in luxury car sales.
