With the continuous upgrading of China's joint venture or wholly foreign-owned auto electronic configuration, the degree of electronic control of automobiles has become higher and higher, and multi-functional high-precision, high-sensitivity, intuitively-indicated electronic digital display and image display instruments have been continuously applied in automobiles. At present, China's automobile instrumentation industry is mainly concentrated in developed coastal areas such as the east, and the number of local OEM purchasers and joint venture brand purchasers accounted for 87.3%.
In December 2012, China produced 5.921 million units of automotive instrumentation, an increase of 11.64% year-on-year. From January to December of 2012, the output of automotive instrumentation nationwide reached 66.617 million units, an increase of 18.68% year-on-year. Judging from the output of various provinces and cities, from January to December 2012, the output of automobile instrumentation in Guangdong Province reached 25.2253 million units, an increase of 10.64% year-on-year, accounting for 37.87% of the country's total production. Followed by Shanghai, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces, they accounted for 20.99%, 17.07%, and 6.64% of the total output respectively.
"2013-2017 China Automotive Instrumentation Industry Analysis and Market Forecast Report" points out the future direction of China's automotive instrumentation industry:
1. To further improve the instrumentation technology and level in China, we must comply with the trend of industrial development. While stabilizing conventional products, we should further develop intelligent instrumentation and improve the level of industry digitalization, intelligence, and integration.
2. China's product quality and reliability have always been a major flaw in the development of the instrumentation industry and must also be addressed.
3, to further enrich the variety of instrument specifications, such as 1kPa below the micro-low pressure, 800kPa above the differential pressure range, more than 16MPa high static pressure, corrosion resistance and other specifications of the domestic transmitter, etc., are urgently needed to be rich.
4. At present, China's instrumentation products are mainly concentrated in middle and low-end markets, while high-end markets are dominated by foreign brands.
5, to further enhance the product's automation and precision. The degree of automation of instrumentation in China is not high enough, and some of them still require manual operation.
