Commercial Vehicles Lead 8-year Development Plan for Anhui Automotive Industry

The 8-year development plan for the automotive industry in Anhui Province from 2008 to 2015 currently passes the review. According to the plan, by 2015, the Anhui automobile industry will form an annual production capacity of 2.8 million vehicles.

The plan confirms that by 2010, Anhui Province will achieve an annual production capacity of 2 million vehicles, including 600,000 commercial vehicles and 200,000 special-purpose vehicles; in 2012, the province’s auto vehicles will have an annual production capacity of 2.2 million units. Among them, 700,000 commercial vehicles are used; in 2015, the province’s auto vehicles have an annual production capacity of 2.8 million vehicles, including 800,000 commercial vehicles.

In recent years, Anhui province has taken industrial strong provinces as an important development strategy and proposed the strategic thinking for the development of eight pillar industries. The automobile industry is the first of eight pillar industries. It is understood that the Anhui automobile industry has listed the commercial vehicle industry as a key development project.
