For the diesel engine of vehicles, since the situation of commercial vehicles has not improved, in October, the 23 diesel engine companies included in the statistics completed 329,200 units and 254,400 units respectively, which was a decrease of 14.02% and 3.92% from the previous quarter and a decrease of 5.54% year-on-year respectively. From the above data, although there is still no major improvement in the vehicle diesel engine, it shows a gradual stabilization. Specifically, the average monthly production of diesel engine companies in the first half of the year exceeded 11 million units, which remained unchanged from the previous month. The rankings of these 11 companies by production volume are: Guangxi Yuchai, Anhui Quanchai, FAW Group, Weichai Holdings, Kunming Yunnei, Jiangxi Jiangling, Dongfeng Motor, Weichai Power Yangchai, Dongfeng Chaochai, Shandong Huayuan Laidong and Beiqi Foton.


In the diesel engine enterprises, of the 15 companies with large monthly average output (more than 5,000 units) during the period from January to October, the cumulative number of companies with a cumulative growth rate of more than double digits remained at 5, an increase from the previous month. From this, it can be seen that among the diesel engine enterprises, the light diesel engine enterprises are generally better than the heavy-duty diesel engine enterprises. The sluggish macroeconomic data basically divided the diesel engine enterprises into two camps.


In the first 10 months, the cumulative sales volume of gasoline engines has narrowed


In terms of gasoline engines, in October, 41 gasoline engine companies included in the statistics completed 1.13 million units and 1.129 million units of production and sales, respectively, a decrease of 5.14% and 3.19% from the previous quarter, respectively, an increase of 0.93% and a decrease of 3.40% year-on-year respectively, compared with September. Compared with the characteristics of “golden nine silver and ten”, the cumulative production and sales from January to October were 11.6703 million units and 11.583 million units, respectively, an increase of 8.83% and 7.25% over the same period of last year, and the increase was narrowed.


Among the gasoline engine manufacturers, among the enterprises with large monthly average production volume from January to October this year (more than 10,000 units), the cumulative year-on-year growth rate (accumulated increase of more than 20%) is: GAC Toyota Engine (63.97%) ), Nanjing Changan Ford Mazda Engine (55.90%), Shanghai Volkswagen Powertrain (46.03%), Harbin Dongan Automobile Engine (50.09%), Mianyang Xinchen Power Machinery (32.46%), FAW-Volkswagen (33.66%), Shenyang Aerospace Mitsubishi (30.90%), Dongfeng Honda Automobile (22.45%), Shanghai GM Dongyue Powertrain (27.19%), and companies with a large year-on-year decline (over 15%) are: Jianghuai Automobile (-23.89%), FAW Cars (-22.64%), BYD (-21.90%) and Changan Suzuki (-23.09%). It is worth noting that the cumulative YoY growth of production of several Japanese gasoline engine companies in October has shown a further decelerating trend from last month, in which the GAC Toyota engine has fallen by more than 15 percentage points from last month, and Dongfeng Honda Motor has dropped by nearly 10 percentage point. This trend is the same as the trend of Japanese automakers' market share in China is getting lower and lower.
