FAW Barrett Forging (Changchun) Co., Ltd., a joint venture between China FAW Group and Barlett Forging Co., Ltd., was officially established in Changchun today. It is said that this is by far the largest investment cooperation project of Indian companies in China.
FAW Barrett Forging (Changchun) Co., Ltd. is a joint venture company formed on the basis of the former FAW Forging Co., Ltd. The company occupies an area of 100,000 square meters. The ratio of the shares of Barrett Forging Co., Ltd. and First Automobile Group in India is 50%. Second, 48%. The newly formed joint venture company is engaged in the manufacture of various types of forgings in the automotive and non-automotive industries, the development, design and technical consultation of forging dies, as well as the design, manufacture and technical services of non-standard forging equipment and technical equipment.
At the listing ceremony, Wu Yanfeng, general manager of FAW Group, stated that FAW-Balter Forging (Changchun) Co., Ltd. is one of the important cooperation projects between China and India. The cooperation of this project was successful, and bilateral trade, economic and technological cooperation between China and India was carried out. It has epoch-making significance and is also a major measure for FAW to achieve internationalization of its operations.
According to reports, Barratt Forge is the second largest auto parts forging company in the world, and FAW Forging Co., Ltd. is a leading company in China's forging industry. The joint venture established by inheriting the advantageous resources of both parties focuses on the global economy. The products of the company are divided by Besides FAW Group and other domestic and foreign vehicle markets, it can also expand into the railway, mining, steel and petroleum industries. In the next ten years, the joint venture will have an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons, which will become the Northeast Asian forging base.
