Liu Chongxi: The automotive industry is the leading industry in achieving Industry 4.0
January 01, 2023
On the evening of March 10, at the meeting of representatives of the automotive industry in 2015, the reporter interviewed Liu Chongyun, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Deputy General Manager of China Automotive Industry Engineering Corporation, on Industry 4.0 and the automotive industry.
Liu Chongxi believes that the core of Industry 4.0 is automation and intelligence. In particular, as far as the current situation in China is concerned, many companies are in Industry 2.0, and they have not reached the stage of Industry 3.0. They want to catch up and they must first solve the problem of automation.
“In the process, intelligent robots are very important. From the current point of view, most of the robots used in the manufacturing industry in China are from Germany, Japan, and other countries. The development of domestic intelligent robots is in a state of 'hollowing out' without their own core technologies. This is a constraint and challenge for China to achieve Industry 4.0 or 'Made in China 2025'."
Speaking of his own automotive manufacturing industry, Liu Chongxi pointed out that the automobile manufacturing industry is a “big industry” with a long industrial chain. The equipment used is a relatively “precision” equipment and can be regarded as the leading industry of Industry 4.0 and it is also realized. "Made in China 2025" is an important starting point. "But it should be noted that at present, in the area of automobile manufacturing equipment, especially in the use of intelligent robots, the overwhelming majority of companies still purchase foreign brands of equipment. This is the future of our country to solve. important question."
Liu Chongxi said that if China wants to become a powerful manufacturing country in the world, it must make breakthroughs in information technology, intelligence, automation, green manufacturing and other fields. It is crucial to develop and use robots. Therefore, Liu Chongxi urged that relevant government departments should be aware of the importance of intelligent robots in the manufacturing industry, integrate industry resources as soon as possible, and systematically develop intelligent robots.
